Communications Fellow at Center for Community Progress (Washington, DC)
Community Progress is looking for a Communications Fellow to contribute to all aspects of our communications infrastructure – including working with our communications, advocacy and outreach teams to develop educational content and ensure that we reach critical stakeholders. Youth Programs Intern at Allen Neighborhood Center (Lansing)
Applications due Friday, February 10th for an internship with our youth programs. This is a 10 hour/week position designing lesson plans, a training manual for volunteers, and facilitating our after school program on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The Detroit Food Policy Council (DFPC), a 21-member advisory group committed to nurturing the development and maintenance of a sustainable, localized food system and a food-secure Detroit, seeks a professional writer/journalist to author its 2011 City of Detroit Food System Report. The writer will author two issue-focused chapters (about 10-12 pages each) and a 2-3 page DFPC-focused introduction, along with one-page summaries of the issue chapters. The Community Economic Development Association of Michigan (CEDAM) advances community-based economic development to revitalize and rebuild Michigan communities and neighborhoods. The North Rosedale Park Civic Association (NRPCA) is planning to launch a $2 - $2.5 million fundraising campaign and is looking for a Fundraising Manager to coordinate all fundraising activities. The purpose of the campaign is to completely renovate the North Rosedale Park Community House and adjacent park grounds. The campaign will also include raising money for community programs and a facilities maintenance fund to be implemented when the renovations are completed.
