Community Legal Resources (CLR) - Community Legal Resources (CLR) helps nonprofit organizations in Detroit and throughout Michigan find affordable legal services. CLR matches groups with volunteer attorneys specializing in: Corporate Law, Tax Law, Real Estate Law, Contracts Law, Environmental Law, Employment Law, Patent & Trademark Law and Intellectual Property Law.

Community Research Services - Community Research Services provides a wide variety of products and services to the affordable housing industry, ranging from market feasibility studies, GIS/database management services to development consulting. We have assisted developers, non-profit organizations, government agencies, and financial institutions with the development and strategic solutions on housing alternatives across the country. With experience in more than 30 states and the U.S. Virgin Islands, personnel at Community Research have been conducting market analyses since the 1980s, preparing some of the first market feasibility studies for tax credit projects in the Midwest. CRS has expanded its range of services and created two subsidiary firms, Community GeoServices and Community Development Services. Community GeoServices is the mapping and Geographic Information System (GIS) division providing mapping solutions ranging from identifying target markets to database design to web-based mapping applications. Community Development Services provides clients with consulting and development services including project management, development team assembly and a variety of financial feasibility studies.

Council of Michigan Foundations - The Council of Michigan Foundations (CMF), incorporated in 1975,  is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit membership association comprised of more than 480 foundations and corporations making grants for charitable purposes.  Our mission to enhance, to improve, and to increase philanthropy in Michigan is accomplished through our primary focus of assisting Michigan grantmakers in their work.

Development Finance Associates - Development and counsulting for Michigan nonprofits.

Great Lakes Capital Fund - GLCF helps socially responsible corporations invest in affordable housing and community economic development activities. GLCF raises capital from corporations and financial institutions, and invests these resources into real estate development partnerships. The partnerships receive essential equity for their developments. The investors receive a competitive internal rate of return on their investment through tax benefits; and the community receives high quality, affordably-priced housing and/or commercial developments that generate social and economic benefits for area residents.

Habitat for Humanity of Michigan - Habitat for Humanity of Michigan (HFHM) is a statewide nonprofit organization that provides support to the 84 Michigan affiliates of Habitat for Humanity International through training, consulting, and fundraising. Dedicated to eliminating substandard housing, Habitat for Humanity brings together volunteers and resources with people in need to build and renovate simple, decent, affordable housing.

Michigan Coalition Against Homelessness - The Michigan Coalition Against Homelessness is a nonprofit association of emergency shelters, transitional housing programs, government agencies, housing and service programs, and concerned citizens from across the State.  The Coalition's mission is to decrease the incidence of homelessness, improve the quality of services provided to people who are homeless; to effect systemic change to alleviate the root causes of homelessness, and increase communication among Michigan homeless assistance providers.  Highlights from this site include a calendar of events and legislative alerts pertaining to homeless services.

Michigan Community Action Agency Association - The Michigan Community Action Agency Association supports the work of our 30 Community Action Agencies (CAAs) in their efforts to promote economic and social opportunities through which people in or near poverty can achieve greater independence, dignity, and self-sufficiency.  MCAAA is a membership organization which provides professional development and networking opportunities for its members.  The Association serves the needs of its members through representation, professional and staff development, advocacy, and information dissemination.

Michigan Historic Preservation Network - Organizations and individuals working to preserve architectural and cultural heritage sites.

Michigan Interfaith Trust Fund - The Michigan Interfaith Trust Fund provides financial assistance and technical support for the building and rehabilitation of affordable housing for low-income individuals, groups and communities throughout Michigan to foster economic and social justice.

Michigan Nonprofit Association - The Michigan Nonprofit Association promotes the awareness and effectiveness of Michigan's nonprofit sector and advances the cause of volunteerism and philanthropy throughout the state.

Neighborhoods Association of Michigan - The Neighborhood Associations of Michigan (NAM) was formed in 1985 through the coordinating efforts of Michigan State University's Center for Urban Affairs.  It is an organization of neighborhood associations and community based organizations. Its purposes are to educate, empower, and advocate for community members to improve their quality of life in their communities.  NAM provides resources, technical assistance, and information to facilitate beneficial activities through statewide networks.  NAM represents a strong and vital vehicle that facilitates residents working together.

SEMCOG - SEMCOG is a regional planning partnership, accountable to member local governments in Southeast Michigan. Its primary missions are 1) planning on issues that extend beyond individual government boundaries and 2) intergovernmental relations in cooperation with local government, as well as state and federal agencies. The SEMCOG partnership strengthens efficient and effective local government, supporting local planning through its technical, data and intergovernmental resources.

Vision 2020 - Develops revitilization plans that will eliminate substandard housing in Michigan.

Volunteer Accounting Service Team of Michigan (VAST) - Financial services for low income families and non profits.

Volunteers of America, Michigan (VOA) - Christian volunteering placement services.

Wayne State University, Small Business Enterprises and Nonprofit Corporations Clinic - The Small Business Enterprises and Nonprofit Corporations Clinic is Wayne State University's Law School's transactional clinic. The Clinic represents both for-profit and nonprofit clients who cannot afford to pay for legal services offered by attorneys in the private bar. The Clinic will assist businesses within the city of Detroit and in the Detroit metropolitan area. Among the services the clinic offers are: entity formation, contract review and preparation, review and drafting of commercial real estate documents, preparation of trademark and copyright applications, and preparation of tax exempt applications.
