What is the history/purpose of your organization, in one sentence?
Since 2001 CHN has been committed to providing affordable housing and related resources to people in need through housing development, homeless prevention, information sharing, advocacy and collaboration.
What drives your passion for neighborhood/community and economic development?
I believe that the long term sustainability of our state depends upon social and economic diversity. Well-planned affordable housing and community development strategies are key to promoting this objective.
Why do you love Michigan?
Michigan is a great place to live. I love being near the water, the changing seasons, and the variety of things to do in our community. More importantly, I appreciate the way that our community rallies to support those in need.
How do your family and/or community inspire your work?
The resilience of the people served by CHN is an endless source of inspiration.
What do you do in your free time (if it exists!)?
I enjoy being a Scout leader and spending time with my wife and son.
