What is the history/purpose of your organization, in one sentence?
To provide safe affordable housing for individuals and families that are disabled, homeless or a survivor of domestic violence.
What drives your passion for neighborhood/community and economic development?
We are driven by the needs of the our local community to have affordable housing in place that is accessible and adaptable for our family, friends and those in need.
Why do you love Michigan?
The State of Michigan, and more particularly the Upper Peninsula, offers the individual clean air, beautiful scenery for all seasons and people that are hard working and caring.
How do your family and/or community inspire your work?
I have the gift of wonderful supportive parents that have guided me though all my endeavors and given me the desire to achieve. The people in the community motivate me to fulfill housing needs in the area that would offer them a better quality of life.
What do you do in your free time (if it exists!)?
Free time would consist of an afternoon of billiards and nine ball - I have a passion for shooting pool that I discovered on my very first date! (Yes, they did have pool tables back then....!) Also, I love to travel and trying out new restaurants with exotic foods.
