Public Policy & Legislation

CEDAM works tirelessly to build a broad base of support for community-based housing and economic development activities in Michigan. We gather input from every corner of the state to impact state and national legislation, governmental policies, and other programs. We are actively engaged in discussions to obtain additional funding for the industry and to improve the delivery system of financing, training, and technical assistance. CEDAM accomplishes much of this work through its Public Policy Committee that often serves as our collective voice on significant legislation and policies from our State Capital in Lansing to our Nation's Capital in Washington, D.C.

On this page you will find our 2008 Public Policy Agenda and our state and national policy priorities. Our website also contains a Policy Tracker to help inform our members of important legislation. We have also developed an Advocacy Resources page with tools to engage our members in the policy process.

If you have any questions regarding the policy program or to join CEDAM's Policy Committee, please contact Alicia Quintero, Policy Analyst, at quintero@cedam.info or (517) 485-3588.
