Policy Updates:
The House Science-State-Justice-Commerce (SSJC) bill includes $9.7 million for Microloan Lending, $10 million for Microloan Technical Assistance, and $12.5 million for Women’s Business Centers. Despite strong support from many Representatives, the House did not include funding for SBA PRIME.

Congresswoman Linda Sanchez (CA) is offering an amendment to the Science-State-Commerce-Justice (SSJC) Bill, which, if passed, would restore the Microloan Program to FY '05 level funding by providing an additional $4 million in Technical Assistance and $4.4 million in Lending Capital! Congressional staffers are also researching options for including $5 million in funding for the PRIME Program.
