January 5th Round scheduled; new
QAP approved by Board |

At a special meeting of
the MSHDA Board of Directors today, the Board acted to rescind
the actions it took on December 6 and approve a new resolution
outlined as follows:

A second lottery round
is scheduled for January 5, 2008 under the 2005-6 QAP
using 25% of 2008 credits and WITHOUT the 50% holdback
for Detroit, Hamtramck and Highland Park that was
discussed on December 6.

The 2008-9 QAP was
approved with changes proposed by staff on December 6.
A round using 75% of 2008 credits under this new QAP
is scheduled for April 1, 2008.

The
two issues are tie-barred in going before the Governor for
her signature.
Pending the
Governor's approval, MSHDA will post a notice regarding the
January 5th funding round to their website within the next couple days.
In a converstaion with MSHDA
staff after the the meeting, it was confirmed that the MSHDA
offices will indeed be open on January 5 (a Saturday) to
receive applications between 8AM and 5PM. It was also
confirmed that expiring environmentals, market analyses or
other expiring documents prepared for 2007 applications will
need to be refreshed before submission in the January
round.
