Social Compact, a national nonprofit research organization, just published their report exploring Detroit's potential for economic growth and buying power. Some of its findings include that Detroit has a larger population than the latest census showed, and this population has more buying power than previously thought. "So much investment is happening in the Metro-Detroit area, and this report shows that the city of Detroit is ready for more capital investment and business development," Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick said.
