| Call for CEDAM Board member nominations |
| Please
consider serving on CEDAM's
Board |
CEDAM
is currently in the process of soliciting applications for new
Board members! As you know, our Board is made up of 18
individuals from across the state - two from each of our six
regions, and six at-large members.
Every year, half of our Board is automatically up for
re-election. During the time leading up to and through
the Michigan Conference on Affordable Housing, we conduct
elections. As part of that process, we are looking for
CEDAM members in good-standing who are interested in serving
on our Board. Should you be interested, we invite you to
contact us and express your interest. Currently, the
following candidates are up for re-election:
- Region 1: OPEN SEAT
- Region 2: Tim Hardesty, Human Development Commission
(Caro)
- Region 3: Tim Lemanski, Kalamazoo Neighborhood Housing
Services (Kalamazoo)
- Region 4: Marsha Kreucher, Community Action Agency of
JLH (Jackson)
- Region 5: Don Jones, Venture Inc (Pontiac)
- Region 6: Felicia Turner, Amandla CDC (Detroit)
- At-Large: Rob DeWaelsche (Detroit)
- At-Large: Art Potter (Lansing)
- At-Large: OPEN SEAT
All members in good standing can nominate themselves or
others to serve on the Board. Regional Board members must be
on the staff of a CDC in that region; At-Large members can be
any paying member. To nominate, please contact Angie
Gaabo, CEDAM Interim Executive Director, no later than
Monday, April 23. Ballots and voting procedures will be
made available prior to and during the upcoming Affordable
Housing Conference. Remember -- you will only be able to vote
if you have paid your 2007 CEDAM dues prior to
voting! |
